Thank you again for being so gracious about our date of arrival mistake and for providing gratis that excellent taxi service to the airport last Saturday. I also wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying on rue Vauvilliers. We have never lived in the 1st before and really enjoyed it. In large part because of where we were staying. There are lots of apartments to rent in Paris and elsewhere but very few are reasonably attractive, have really good reading/cooking/bathroom lighting, a serious working kitchen, firm beds (at least the one we used), comfortable furniture, and a good supply of hot water and heat. We also appreciated your attention to detail, your directness, and fairness and would certainly rent from you again—if you’d have us.

Hi Ray,
My husband Martin and I had a wonderful time in Paris. We loved the apartment (rue Pierre Lescot) and found it to be very comfortable and kitted out with everything we needed.

We especially enjoyed shopping on Rue Montorgueil and the surrounding market streets. We indulged in butter croissants and pain au chocolate on many a morning!

We also enjoyed the centrality of the location and being able to walk to many of the fabulous museums and sites. We also saw a number of wonderful concerts at St. Eustache and these will be one of the great memories of our trip.

Thanks for everything and I do hope we will meet sooner than later!

I wanted to write to let you know what a wonderful time we had at your property at rue Pierre Lescot. It was the perfect location. We could walk to the Opera, Notre Dame, the Louvre and even the Champs Elysées. The apartment was so quiet, with it being located on the pedestrian street, which was perfect for my son who is sensitive to sounds. The architecture and buildings were so beautiful and there was a real mixture of old and new construction. The apartment was the perfect size for my son and myself. The convenience of the washer, refrigerator and oven solidified the fact that I will never stay in a hotel there again. I appreciate you showing us the stores and restaurants close by. We truly had a wonderful time and look forward to contacting you again for future visits.

"The apartment is very clean, well located in an area that has many restaurants, bars, market, subway with 5 lines and direct RER from the airport. Seems to be a safe area we saw nothing suspicious at night on the subway ride to the apartment. It has everything we needed for a stay (kitchen equipment, sheets, towels, hairdryer, washing machine) and the hygiene really was what most surprised us. It was very cold about 5 degrees but the heating of the water and the apartment were working perfectly which made the stay comfortable. Roth lives upstairs so we were safe in any unforeseen circumstances. Thank you Roth and we hope to come back again and stay there! "

Ray – we have had a lovely time this week and the St. Germain apartment has been perfect.  When would you like to come by and pick up the check and keys?  We are leaving on Saturday at 1:00 for London and can meet anytime.  I was wondering if you could give any advice on getting a taxi to the train station.

Thank you again for all you have done to make our Paris stay so wonderful.  We have remarked many times on how wonderful the accommodations have been.  It wouldn’t have been nearly the same at a hotel or the other options we considered.  We can’t thank you enough!

We want to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the apartment on St. Gilles.  It was so special and in such a nice area – lots of good restaurants, a bakery and grocery store so close, lots of great bus routes and metro routes, and such special artwork on the walls – and the privacy was wonderful.  AND Ken was so pleased to find the Harley-Davidson store so close – he collects t-shirts from wherever we go, so he got his “Paris” t-shirt on this trip.

Thanks also for providing enough coffee for the week.  I would have replaced it, but I couldn’t find the individual packets.  That was really nice of you – also the wine and snacks the first day.  You are a great host.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and the weather cooperated better than I expected.

When we have an opportunity to get back to Paris, I will certainly contact you to see if that apartment is available again.  I’m not sure when that will be, but you are first on my list!

From the wonderful bottle of champagne, warm towels in the bathroom and ready to use kitchen to the the street market around the corner, the few short blocks to all of the famous Paris sights and metro station—- and your graciousness—all of it made for a perfect vacation.

I cannot thank you enough for allowing us to stay. I am even more grateful that we were lucky enough to extend our time at your lovely place.

Perfect place to stay in the center of Paris - Heart of Paris/Louvre & St. Honore
I stayed at this apartment for a week in June and could not be more pleased with my lodging. The pictures do not do justice to its layout or furnishings – it is a very comfortable place to relax, to prepare for a day roaming around the city, or to cook and dine in. I like to make my own meals and was thrilled with the kitchen, which is equipped with all of the appliances, utensils, pot, pans, and dishes I needed. However, as nice as the apartment is, I was there to enjoy Paris – and that is another aspect in which this apartment excels. It is in a genuine neighborhood, surrounded by the kinds of shops you expect to find in an area where people actually live – rather than the wall-to-wall T-shirt and knick-knack shops, I found grocery stores, a couple pharmacies, several small restaurants, and even an appliance store. Plus, there were local residents who made the area FEEL like a neighborhood. Venturing a bit further, I found myself just a couple blocks from the Louvre and the River Seine, as well as several Metro stations that could take you anywhere in the city. I strongly recommend this place for anybody who wants to feel at home while living in the center of one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.

St. Chapelle, Pompidou, Marais
The apartment has everything you need, even a safe, it’s spacious and has great wifi internet. There is also a lift in the building and it is a very secure building. The apartment is about 50 metres from a good Boulangerie and a small supermarket, but also very close to the Louvre, many shops, restaurants and the underground railway (easy to use). Mono and Ray are great hosts, its a great location and we will be back next time we are in Paris.

St. Germain des Prés
What a great apartment in Paris! Out your door and up the street, and you are in the heart of the trendy Saint Germain Des Prés area. There’s a Monoprix literally next door, and a Picard a half block the other way if you want to self-cater your Parisian holiday. Restaurants? Some of the best and newest are within a couple of blocks. Classics, too, such as Brasserie Lipp and Les Deux Magots are within a block. The apartment itself is comfortable and well-equipped. I loved the kitchen with its big oven and high tech induction stove top. It also has a generous counter space to ease in food prep or to use for eating. The sofa bed is king sized and by far, the most comfortable sofa bed ever! We actually used it for sleeping and turned the bedroom into the walk-in closet and dressing area. The bed in the bedroom is very comfortable, too; we just preferred the larger bed. The bathroom has everything—including a hair dryer and most luxuriously, a towel warmer—and abundant, perhaps endless, hot water.

The television is huge and the apartment has soundproof windows so if you need to recover from the bustle of the big city, you can. There’s plenty of room to relax and read as well.

Dealing with RothRay makes the vacation, too. Champagne on your arrival as well as coffee and tea. By the way, should you find the perfect cup of espresso in Paris, be sure to let Ray know. He’s on a quest to find it.

We had no trouble with all of the security locks and truly appreciated it.  We didn’t need to contact anyone for help – we found our way around just fine.

And we saw the people arriving for the flash-mob “Dinner in White” that happened in the park while we were there.  What a special treat.  I had to look it up the next day in the news to find out all about it.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and the weather cooperated better than I expected.  I hope you had as nice a time in Barcelona!
